About me

Hi, I’m Caleb Ochs, the creator of Mighty Ochs Tiny Acorns (MOTA). With over 10,000 hours of experience in data engineering and analytics, I’ve dedicated my career to solving complex problems and transforming data specifically for analytics that is both scalable and flexible.

Throughout my journey, I’ve had the privilege of working on diverse projects—from building scalable data pipelines to designing analytics that support business strategies. My approach is rooted in practicality: I believe the best way to learn is by doing, which is why I created MOTA to share my hands-on knowledge and expertise with you.

My Mission

At MOTA, my goal is to make data engineering and analytics accessible, engaging, and rewarding. I want to help you bridge the gap between theory and practice, empowering you to tackle real-world challenges with confidence.

Professional Background

I’ve logged over a decade working in the data space, honing my skills across various industries and tools. I've worked with hundreds of different companies and built data analytics, platforms, databases, reports, etc. from scratch more times than I can count.

Why I’m Here

I know it can be overwhelming to navigate the world of data and you may be second guessing whether you are doing things right. That’s why I’ve designed MOTA as a supportive resource hub. Through my ride-along videos and guides, you’ll gain practical experience, learn industry best practices, and grow your confidence one step at a time.

Let’s build something great together—one tiny acorn at a time.
